The Romano Law Group was recently recognized in the Second Annual Daily Business Review Florida Verdicts Hall of Fame Awards for their $3,171,000 verdict in the wrongful death case Swain v. Stefan, et al.

For several years, the Daily Business Review (DBR) and its sister company Verdict Search have published verdicts from around Florida, and the Daily Business Review publishes Florida Top Verdicts. In Swain v. Stefan, et al., Gene Swain, a 66 year old retired music teacher died because of the failure to provide emergency medical care for his allergic reaction to Lisinopril. The $3,171,000 verdict included $94,000 for funeral bills and lost support and services to his wife; $77,000 for lost support and services to his son, who was only 15 years old at the time of death; $2,000,000 for his wife's loss of companionship and protection and her mental pain and suffering; and $1,000,000 for his son's loss of companionship, instruction and guidance and his mental pain and suffering.
