Michael D. Eriksen is a board certified civil trial lawyer and of counsel in the law firm of the Romano Law Group in Florida. One of Florida’s leading general trial and personal injury attorneys, Michael specializes in product liability, cruise line, and general negligence cases.

Michael served on the original Claimants Committee for the A. H. Robins (Dalkon Shield) Bankruptcy Litigation and on the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Copper–7 IUD Steering Committee. Michael is also a charter member of the AAJ Inadequate Security Litigation Group. Michael has been lead counsel in class actions on behalf of purchasers of entire fleets of defective automobiles. He has successfully prosecuted numerous other cases involving post–crash fires in heavy trucks, defective aircraft and automotive components, cruise–related injuries and assaults, and construction accident injuries.

Michael received his B.S.F.S. in international economic affairs from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C. in 1972. He went on to become a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps and served with various infantry units from 1972 – 1976. For the next two years, Michael served as non–lawyer trial counsel prosecuting special courts martial at the Second Marine Division, Camp LeJeune, North Carolina.

In 1977, Michael entered the University of Miami Law School. The following year, he transferred to the University of Florida, where he was an editor of the Law Review. After earning his law degree in May 1980, Michael was admitted to the Bar in January 1981.

Michael is a life member of the American Association for Justice, Southern Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Palm Beach County Bar Association, and Florida Justice Association.
